Blackjack & The Dancing Horses will perform from 1 PM to 3 PM on E. Washington Street. Rides and photo ops with the horses will be offered in between performances.

Steve Gross will kick off Heritage Day with the opening ceremony at 11:30 AM. The Momence Honor Guard will give a presentation along with a flag raising and the dedication of the Soldiers' Monument sign.
Iris Hick's family will attend the opening ceremony to unveil the new soldiers' monument sign. Iris was one of the little girls who unveiled the soldiers' monument in 1909. Iris’s only surviving child Salli Carmichael will attend—her daughter Kristin Medley and her son Josh Medley. Kevin & Joyce Witheft and Roy & Andrea Groesbeck.

Experience the life of a WWI soldier, a Darlene Agner and Ron Selle exhibit featuring Pat O’Brien with notable guest author Kevin McNulty. Other displays throughout the house will include the story of a local resident, the first woman from Kankakee County to join the regular U.S. Army, and a nurse in World War I, Alice Haslett Peterson, who was part of the WWI Red Cross team.

Drum Circles - 1 PM - 3 PM
At the Earl Schoeffner Farm Museum, there will be guided tours, the popular exhibit "First Farmers of Momence," The Potawatomi. The exhibition features authentic artifacts, including arrowheads, axes, ceremonial spearheads, pottery, and many other original finds. The Farm Museum will also conduct "Drum Circles," where participants will be provided a drum and stick to explore Native American rhythms. The "Drum Circles" will occur every quarter hour between 1 PM - 3 PM in the Farm Museum Conference Room.
Special Guest Ethan Stone, Local Blacksmith, and Eric Boos, Woodworker will be at the Farm Museum from
12 PM to 4 PM.

Momence Memorabilia from the Gayle Behrends, Dave Doud and Graham Historic House will be on display at Momence City Hall.
Silhouette Artist, Nina Nightingale, will be returning to Momence Heritage Day. Nina snips silhouettes from black paper in mere moments with nothing but her scissors. Nina will be at the Momence City Hall from 12 PM - 4 PM.

The Little Red Schoolhouse was moved to its present location in 1983. This 1850s schoolhouse has been restored and contains period memorabilia and artifacts. Tours of the schoolhouse will be available from 12 PM – 4 PM.

The Railroad Museum featuring a Military exhibition room, will be open during Heritage Day for guided tours.
